CHECKERED STEEL SHEETS

General use checkered steel sheets (GOST 8568-77) with one-sided rhombic and lentil patterns. Checkered steel is supplied in sheets and rolls, having one-sided rhombic or lentil patterns.

The height of sheet pattern shall be 0.2-0.3 of the sheet basis thickness, but not less than 0.5 mm.

Sheets with a rhombic pattern are made with rhomb diagonals (25-30) х (60-70) mm. Pattern configuration and disposition of the large diagonals of a rhomb, lengthways or across a sheet, are to be decided by the manufacturer.

Rolled sheets with one-sided lentil pattern and with a rolled edge, А-1-ПВ-СтЗсп2-6х600х6000 TV 14-2-818-88, are made of carbon steel with the chemical structure in line with GOST 380. Ledge height of a strip of 1.5 mm shall be at the distance of 40 mm from a lateral edge. Sheets are offered in the width range from 600 up to 2200 mm and in the length range from 1400 up to 8000 mm, with the gradation of 50 mm.

If agreed by the manufacturer and the client, it shall be allowed to produce sheets of other sizes as well.

Depending on the intended use, sheets are manufactured for:
- indexing length;
- divisible indexing length;
- indexing length with the residue of no more than 10 % of the batch weight;
- divisible indexing length with the residue of no more than 10 % of the batch weight;
- random length.

Sheets of the random length that remain after the cutting into indexing and divisible indexing section shall be considered as a residue.

Examples of Marking Designation:

Hot-rolled sheets made of the grade Ст3сп steel (GOST 380-88) with the one-sided rhombic pattern, 3.0х1000х2000 mm in size, of the normal thickness accuracy and enhanced flatness, and with rolled edge:

With one-sided lentil corrugation:
The same, with a lentil pattern, supplied in coils А-К-3,0х1000 Ст3сп (GOST 8568-77).
